BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN

 The Behavior Technician will provide 1:1 direct behavioral therapy to individuals with developmental delays or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst©. The Behavior Technician will:

  • Implement programs based on ABA principles to improve communication skills, self-help skills, social/play skills and academics of the children.
  • Ensure that children are motivated to learn and participate in activities. 
  • Keep accurate record of every child’s progress through data collection.
  • Effectively manage and design solutions for challenging behavior in a child.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information.
  • Ability to engage and play with all the children, so that they feel at ease and comfortable in their learning environment.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Psychology/Sociology, or Montessori Training, or training in related fields is preferred.
  • Candidates with previous experience in working with children will be preferred.
  • Excellent spoken, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Our teaching ethos involves a lot of teaching through play and in the natural environment in order to keep students motivated and aid in generalization of skills.
  • Behavior Technicians will be required to occasionally run, stand, sit on the floor, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, twist, reach above head, pull or bend themselves.
  • They may be required to make quick or sudden movements to deal with the children.
  • Sustained physical exertion may be required for tackling our younger students.
  • Our aim is to improve the quality of life of children on the autism spectrum by employing the principles of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) technology in the intervention plans.
  • We provide the appropriate tools to our employees, so that they can flourish and increase their knowledge in this field. 
  • After working with us for a certain period, employees will be provided with opportunities to train and receive an internationally recognized certification as a Registered Behavior Technician. 
  • Training and assessment will be provided to staff members to become qualified Behavior Technicians/Interventionists, as per the standards of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.©
